How to play basketball

When you play a game like basketball always stretch or play a warm up game.

How to play the GAME

Basketball was created in 1891 it is a team sport two teams of five players. Each team has to try to score by shooting a ball in the hoop. To move around you have to dribble the ball with one hand to get to the hoop or get closer to pass to your teammates

RULES

You cannot hit, push, slap or hold a player because it would be a foul and you can not run with the ball because it would be a travel  

SKILLS

Every player has to know how to catch, dribble and pass. When catching a ball make a diamond hand. Dribble with one hand not two hands if you do that will be traveling.

TIPS TO PASS

• When passing you can do a chess pass.
• Overhead pass.
• Pocket pass means throwing on you right or left pocket.
• Fake and pass means you're pretending to pass on your right but you're passing on your left and it can also work opposite.
• Bounce pass means bouncing the ball to your teammate.

The aim of the game is to try not to hit the white tiles only the black tiles, on tablet it's easy because you can tap the black tiles very easily with your fingers but with a netbook or computer it's a bit harder because you have to use the keyboard, the main keys are a, s, d, and f.

To play this game you have to press the key letters that shows on the screen, so once you see the letters, press that key as fast as you can so there would be enough time to press the other key, then keep on making new high scores.       

   

A Japanese teacher.

On the 11th of August, Glen Innes School was one of the luckiest schools in the world, it was a dream come true to get a student teacher from Japan Mr. Noriko Yamasaki in our school for a month. We even learned to greet in japanese, count to ten and also do origami.

Triple Jump - Three sticks.

Wow, triple jump did know that jonathan edwards held the world record for triple jump. But if you would like to play, here's a game that's very similar buts it's called three sticks.

To play this game you would need exactly three sticks to play or three different items. It's very easy to play, first

separated your sticks and you would might want to go a bet far away from each other. Run straight to the sticks then run skip and then jump but remember to don't take two step between the gaps. Here's an a example of my friend Solomone.

        

      

What causes lightning and earthquake.

What causes lighting.         

Lighting is made by an electric current within an thundercloud way up in the sky, and it is made out of many small bits of frozen ice raindrops, it bumps into each other as they move around in the air. After a while the whole cloud fills up with electrical lighting and it's more likely to strike anywhere but usually it is after thunder.

What causes earthquake.

There are about 20 plates along the surface of the earth that move continuously and slowly past each other. When the plates squeeze or stretch, huge rocks form at their edges and the rocks shift with great force, causing an earthquake. Think of it this way: Imagine holding a pencil horizontally. If you were to apply a force to both ends of the pencil by pushing down on them, you would see the pencil bend.
