WALT - use role play to make a college poster based on our chosen story.
Getting into the bus we were quite excited thinking about what we would be doing at Te Tuhi Art Gallery. After a long ride we got out of the bus and already we were gazing at the amazing facility. Entering the building we walked to a small corner, where we were introduced to an art instructor named Salome and she informed us about what we would be doing for our time at Te Tuhi Art Gallery.
In short notice we were told to go into groups of six or seven and we would be doing role plays acting a story called “Maui slow the sun.” In the first few minutes the groups were separated to different places so that we could practice. After that moment we all gathered in the auditorium and each group performed their act. After all groups were done acting we moved on to our next activity which was creating a collage poster based on the story we acted.
Walking into the art room we all sat down on chairs and on each table were small pieces of coloured paper and one white paper, with a medium container containing pencils, vivid pens and a rubber. Minutes went past and during the process of making our poster most people was half way done. Later on every one’s art work was done, soon Salmone gave us a talk about how we can improve our art and was encouraging those who wanted an art career.
Once she was done talking we gave thanks then headed back to the bus and from there we went back to school.
